I came to this forum on this weekend to say "Hi" to friends from other sites and lo and behold, I watch that video on last years Bash, and it hits me. MH is a whole lot closer to my SoCal home than the Nats are for 2011. I always drive the T to the events I attend and this years Nats in Dayton is over 2600 miles, more than I care to cover in 3 days. Good old Mapquest tells me that MH is all of 1647 miles, very doable in three days. Have to think about this for a bit due to the Bash being a 7 day event plus 2 days driving to SoCal and 6 to MH, well only 15 days. It would be my longest "T-only" event I've attended, but damn, it sure looks like everyone was enjoying themselves in that video. And the action in the parking lot, going from 0 to maybe 60 mph and catching the brakes, yes that looks like fun when you know you won't get in trouble from John Law.

Yeah Bob I've watched all of Tom's videos and man they know how to have a good time. In one of the videos they had to rebuild a motor and was back out. Tom's been to just about all of them.

Wayne,

I know it is a long drive for you, but would you consider doing the Bash in 2011? You do hold the lead butt award for driving your T over 8000 miles per year.

I started making plans to go this year. With me driving the T from NorCal to SoCal, then on to MH, I wonder if I stand a chance of winning the longest "drive the T to the event" award?
My last T-only event was Fred's Fun Run in SE Arizona last November, and for just 1152 miles one way, got the award there.

Norm is the real deal, kind of like the father of our rides. I'm sold, see you at the 2011 Bash.

Thanks B.C.. Would it be alright if I made the long distant driving trophy this year? I have been working on some head gear that would be just right for that.

Hide the kids, don't want to scare them. Are they hidden now? OK, good, this is my long distance travel headgear.

Wayne,

Your kids do have that "admire my ride, but don't mess with it" look. On some of your other picture posts I got a real kick out of the boys all bundled up for winter time cruising.

Yeah they love the car. I am just getting over the Flu and they wanted to riding in 30 degree weather. I had to say no which was hard to do.
