I might be looking to far into this (bad habit of mine), but when I am ready bleed my brakes, wont the fluid from higher points then the master cylinder gravity feed back down and out the m/c cover when I pull the cover off? Should I pre fill the calipers through the bleed ports to get as much air out of the system without pumping the m/c and minimizing fluid losses in the m/c when bleeding the brakes?

Thanks

What I do is bleed the caliper or wheel cylinder farthest from the master cyl first. Now if the master is lower than the bleeder. Jack the car up on the other end that is low. So that the master is now higher than the bleeder. Normally the right front is farthest from the master. So I jack up the rear of the car as high as I can. This brings the master up higher than the right front wheel then do the left front. Then reverse it all and do the rear.
Depending on where you have the master the right rear may be farthest from the master, in new production cars it is.
