Sounds like a good deal. Check out this one, I just got one, has the vortex heads on it. It is a little more money, but it is new vs remanufactured. The last build I did I got a remanufactered engine from shucks automotive and had no problems with it and it was around 950 bucks four years ago.

I'd stay with Chevy factory crate engines...they come with a warranty...

You can get them from Chevy dealers, Jegs and Summit...ya can't go wrong!

YO BABY BURR the best deal u can get is in ur back yard. go to city motor supply on harry heines about 100yards south [inside] 635 u can buy a4bolt main short block around 350 bucks or long block around 650 bucks even race motors.. its also on the internet and they have warranties

Absolutely check out City Motor supply. Talk to John Deer, yes that's his name. They will build whatever you want. They built my short block to my specs. The last time I talked to John they were installing all new machine equipment and were going to start building crate motors. http://www.citymotorsupply.com/
