Still doing homework. What are my choices on emergency brake kits? Companies and part numbers would be great. Instructions on mounting would be even better. I'm probably going to go with 10 bolt Chevy with drums.

Thanks,
John

33 views and no answers. I guess a really dumb question.

Thanks

We don't use e-brakes. Most guys don't run them b/c the car is light enough but i realize some states require them. I don't have a part number for any since we don't use them but there are companies out there that sell them. thanks josh

check speedway on the disc conversion kit. It has a weld on bracket and E-brake calp, used it on a 12 bolt chevy, just make sure you get the bracket on strait

O.K.: You can buy a kit from T***L But it's expensive for what you get.

I used a lokar handle, cables. You can get a handle to mount on the side of the trany, or a floor mount. The cables you can get axle specific so they connect to the backing plates just like stock cables. The setup looks good and works great. When you have that much time and money invested in your car I think its a wise choice legal or not.

Actually I,m using a Vega E-brake handle and a yoke mounted rotor with a Airhart? 175 manual caliper . These are really cheap go-kart etc. calipers.

As far as e-brakes go. I think Lokar has one of the best looking ones. I have seen dozens of different ones over the years.... I guess it all depends on personal preferences. I am just gonna fabricate one from Billet myself....
