An S10 Blazer 4x4 rear diff will work just fine.

Also, A 68 mustang 8" is perfect for a '27.
without cutting you get 2" appox. clearance.

some where I read that they use a 52 Inch wide 10 bolt blazer rear end,but I do not know if that is from backing plate to backing plate or from drumm face to drumm face. How is it measured? Tom

I have a '91 S15 GMC rearend that I was planning to use in the '26 Touring car I'm working on but it is too narrow for it. I've measured it at 48" backing plate to backing plate. It will work on my '23 so I'm thinking I might put it in the '23 next winter. I have a '69 Impala rearend in it now and it is really too wide for the car.

My s10 measures 48 inches backing plate to b.p. I have allready talked to pete and jakes hotrod shop about welding the brackets for my radius rods on the axel tubes they can do this without warping them.Should have my garage finished in less than a mounth then will start on my frame. Will talk to spirit about front end.::) smokey
