what's a good wheel size? I don't want any rake, I would like to keep it level. It's 23 T turtle deck. I would like to use wide ties all around.

Regarding wheel size. Since one rarely does a lot of driving an any kind of hot rod, mileage shouldn't be an issue. Which means cost shouldn't be either because you won't be buying new tires until you get past 30,000 miles. If you put down a bunch of money for tires, 50 or 60,000 miles would be a more realistic figure. Buy whatever size you want but I'd stay away from those "pimpcar" low, low profile thingys on wheels larger than 16 inch. Your "ride" will suffer because of the stiffness of those things. Personally, I'd go with a 14 in. wheel and use different sized tires front and rear. The rears could be 215-80's and the fronts 165-70's....sumpthin' like that. You could run as low as 25 pounds pressure and the tire would help your suspension provide a softer ride. Remember the speedometer gears and the actual speed. tadpole

The most common size wheel is 15x4 or 15x6 upfront and 15x10 to 15x14 on the rear, depending on how wide your rear tires are.
