Would the members please give me their views on the use of friction shocks vs hydraulic. I have never owned or rode in a rod with friction shocks. I do like the clean appearance. Being a "mature" guy, I'm looking for an optimal ride for the 27T I am considering building.
Thanks in advance for helping me out...

I my opinion friction shocks look cleaner and are more traditional than Hyd.s.That being said if they are installed correctly and are adjusted right the frictions will give a nice ride. The Hyd. are more forgiving and most times longer lasting without messing with them. The lighter the car and the closer to correct your spring rate is the less need you have for shocks. I know of cars that do not use shocks on the front and they drive and ride pretty good.
Thats just my opinion though I may be wrong
