I had bending and even braking of my bars and clevis'. I had the chrome U rods on my car and when it was first tested with the motor installed the brackets bent that connected the rods to the frame....

chassis too low

How critical is the engine being level to the ground?
I have a problem with my vega steering unit being only 2 inches from the ground. My transmission is about the same height off the ground....

What is the standard clearance of the steering box on T-buckets?
Has anyone done anything to adjust it higher?

Gas tanks/fuel cells in small spaces

I am looking at limited room for the gas tank for my C Cab/Paddy Wagon.
Has anyone come up with some unusual space saving ideas for locating the gas tank/tanks?

Do you have a template to use when converting from the Spirit T-Bucket chassis friction shock to a standard shock?
I would like to have standard shocks and my welder is looking for guidance.
