Very true. Most seem to use a 3" channel, but I have seen some bodies with what could be less and I have seen a couple that mounted directly on top of the frame. However the ones mounted on top of the frame didn't seem to look right. IMO

Hey yall my problem is that my seat has a back on it,from po that had it built.Was wondering if I have a new seat made and use the back of the bucket as so many do will that give me more room?
