Default tilt steering column

hi new member here. I recently purchased a t bucket as a project . i would like to replace the tilt steering column with a chrome one. The existing column is about 22". I can't find one that is that short. Is it possible to cut one down to 22" or does someone know where i can find one of that approximate length?

Not sure about the tilt columns, but with most standards, they can be cut shorter, and the bearing moved up. May have to cut the D off and move it up, if it doesn't go up far enough.
